![]() ![]() The player can unlock one Outfit for each of the six characters by completing all of their respective missions. These Outfits can only be worn in the multiplayer mode of the game. In Sonic Adventure 2, several Outfits are available for each of the main playable characters, namely Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Dr. Outfits normally only offer aesthetic changes, although there have been cases where they affect the characters' moveset. So far, Outfits have been entirely optional extra features in the games, and can only be unlocked after clearing certain requirements or via external downloads. Each Outfit is unique and often designed to fit the character's style. In general, I would say that Sonic adventure for it's time is an amazing game, and looking back at it now, it's defiantly stood the test of time rather well, but there are better versions of the game out there.Outfits, as their name implies, consist of attires that can be equipped to the playable characters during gameplay, thereby changing the appearance of the character's game model. Still more fun than it has any right to be as fun as it is for a little thing on the side of the sonic game. Unfortunately the original version doesn't have a menu pop up to show you chao's stats, so you just have to trial and error your way through the challenges. ![]() The Dreamcast also has a chao mini-game for the VMU. Chao: Have you heard of a game called duck life? well that's basically a clone of the chao garden. These stages are why I have never beaten this game 100%, but they don't ruin the entire experience, an is worth getting through to play the other game modes. Not only did SA2 decide to make the levels bigger, but make the radar only pick up one emerald signal at a time. I enjoyed Knuckles' stages from SA1 because they were small spaces. However, I can't say that I enjoyed Knuckles and Rouges levels, with Mad Space possibly being the worst part in the entire game. Tails and Eggman use the formula that Gamma had in the original sonic adventure and even though I prefer those stages, Tails' and Eggman's stages are a decent attempt, unfortunately hindered by some clunky controls that haven't aged too well. A game that rewards you with going fast rather than just giving it to you, and level specific gimmicks that are executed really well. Gameplay: Sonic and Shadow are the classic 3d stages from the original sonic adventure, and really, you can't go wrong here. From the moment you hear city escape all the way to live and Learn, this game will make you bob your head and tap your feet to it's OST. As for the music, do I even have to say anything. Presentation: This might just be one of the best looking games on the Dreamcast, boasting good character models and decent texturing that Presentation: This might just be one of the best looking games on the Dreamcast, boasting good character models and decent texturing that still holds up to this day. ![]()
